Nationwide -- Despite the overwhelming competition in the wireless and MVNO industry and a series of those who didn't make it past the first year, one newcomer has come and defied many odds and beliefs of its lasting ability.

Tesix Wireless operates with one group of people in mind, millennials. As covered in various media sources, the company was founded by 25-year old millennial, Chaymeriyia Moncrief, an Alabama entrepreneur who wanted to create a more straightforward and exciting carrier.

Of all the company's significant milestones, like reserving their NYSE stock ticker, generating $1.5M their first year, and putting their carrier-branded smartphones in production, the carrier has now officially opened the first African American founded carrier storefront.

AUTHOR PAYS TRIBUTE TO HIS BROTHER WHO DIED FROM CANCER IN NEW POETRY BOOK

Nationwide -- For Eddie: Cancer Survivor Poems Blossomed From My Soul by James Welch features poetry blossomed from his soul. The book is written in honor of his brother Eddie who passed away from cancer at age 63.

Welch comments, "My brother wrote songs and poetry but his work was never published. So I decided to do it for him. The 63 poems within the book are in honor of his age at passing."

Rev. Joseph Lowery Lived A Full Life Of Activism For Equality And Civil Rights

Atlanta GA -- Rev. Dr. Joseph Lowery, a long time civil rights activist and former colleague of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., passed away today at the age of 98.  He helped Dr. King in founding the well regarded trailblazing Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC), and later served in leadership as the Vice President, Chairman of the Board, and President of the racial justice organization for 2 decades (1977 - 1997).

Rev. Lowery took over the mantle of the iconic civil rights organization after Rev. Dr. Ralph Abernathy.  In 2009 Lowery was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by U.S. President Barack Obama.  He was considered by some as "the Dean of The Civil Rights Movement," in more recent years.

Dr. Lowery had an admirable academic background as he attended the Knoxville College and Alabama A&M College.  Lowery graduated from Paine College.  He was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity.

Lowery subsequently graduated from Payne Theological Seminary.  Dr. Lowery completed his Doctor of Divinity degree at the Chicago Ecumenical Institute.

BLACK WOMAN ENTREPRENEUR WINS MAJOR CONTRACT TO DEVELOP CALIFORNIA STATE FUNDED WEB PROJECT

Nationwide -- Meet Zhe Scott, founder of the SEO Queen, who recently won a major contract from the state of California to design, develop and launch the state's official web site for their Clean Off-Road Equipment Voucher Incentive Project (CORE). The web site, found online at CaliforniaCore.org, can be used as a guide on how to obtain vouchers for low and no emission off road equipment.

Analogous to the Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP), the new project isintended to encourage California companies to purchase or lease currently commercialized zero-emission off-road freight equipment by providing a streamlined voucher process to offset the higher cost of such technologies.

The website was rolled out late January early February and over half of the $44 million available in this voucher fund have been allocated towards the qualified purchase of clean off road equipment to date.

3 REASONS WHY UP TO 1 MILLION BLACK FAMILIES MAY NOT GET A STIMULUS CHECK

Nationwide -- The Trump Administration has approved a $2 trillion dollar stimulus bill that will send money to millions of families to help compensate them during the COVID-19 outbreak. Individuals can received as much as $1,200 each, and families can receive more than $2,500. But Randy Hughes, founder of Counting Pennies, a Black-owned nationwide accounting and tax firm, says that a lot of African Americans may not be getting a check.

Here are his reasons why:

#1 - No Bank Account: The funds will primarily be direct deposited, but more than 10 million adults in the United States don't have bank accounts. And yes, many of these are African Americans!

#2 - Did Not File Taxes: The amount of funds that a household can receive depends on the amount of money earned in either 2019 or 2018. That amount will be based on the tax return filed for that respective year. Sadly, more than 15 million people did not file taxes in either year. And again, many of these are African Americans.

#3 - Have Recently Moved: Because millions of people have not filed taxes in the past year or two, it's very possible that their mailing address with the IRS has changed. This means that those that don't have a bank account could receive a check, but it may be delivered to the wrong address.

BLACK-OWNED LUXURY WIGS COMPANY DONATES THOUSANDS OF MASKS AND PPE SUPPLIES TO NYC HOSPITALS

New York, NY --  RPGSHOW, a leading provider of luxury wigs in partnership with sister company, MyFirstWig, is giving back to the community with a donation of vital PPE materials to various hospitals in NYC and other areas currently battling COVID-19.

RPGSHOW has coordinated the donation of nearly 7,000 masks to the medical community in NYC. This includes 1,000 of the hard to procure N95 masks and some 5,500 regular medical masks and protective eyewear.

Hospitals set to receive these materials include the NYU Langone Medical Center, Mount Sinai, and the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in Boston. Both brands have also privately donated hundreds of masks and supplies to individuals at smaller, private centers in need of supplies to help protect their staff.

MOMPRENEUR LAUNCHES "HOW TO START YOUR OWN VENDING BUSINESS" ONLINE TRAINING COURSES
