Let This Be A Season Of New Beginnings

By THANDISIZWE MGUDLWA

CAPE TOWN; South Africa -- As we celebrate the Festive Season, it is worthwhile to reach out and make a positive impact on those in need; and especially in underserved communities.

In the Great Spirit of Christmas, we can make a positive difference by sharing and giving of our time and talents to add value into the lives of others.

Let this be a Festive Period which you will look back on one day and say this was the turn around point for your life.

This was the time you found your mojo. This is when you came of age. This is when you reconnect with your ancestors, angels, God, human society and the universe.

I know that God doesn't like it when we start things and not finish them.

May this be the Season that you commit and strive to finish any unfinished business, work, project or whatever it is you need to finish.

May this be the Season of New Hope and Renewed Love in action as we seek to think, say and act in a just and human conduct at all times.

When we forgive ourselves and forgive others, we are in the perfect space to be forgiven for our shortcomings and wrongs.

Patrick Whitney Expands into Smart Fragrance Technology, Launches Fragrance Spray Stations

Patrick Whitney, the Founder and CEO of American Luxury Unlimited (ALU), a Black-owned luxury fragrance house known for crafting bold, confidence-raising scents, announces a major new chapter in its growth: the launch of PAWTech Innovations and its groundbreaking Fragrance Spray Stations — smart, on-site scent experiences that bring ALU’s bestselling fragrances directly to the people, 24 hours a day.

This move comes on the heels of ALU’s continued success in the fragrance market. The Gold Standard, the brand’s flagship scent, is nearly sold out yet again, while fragrances like Champ Life, The Gold Standard White, The Gold Standard Rose, and Ms. Influential continue earning powerful reviews and loyal supporters.

“Every time ALU grows, I’m reminded how many people truly value smelling good, feeling confident, and stepping into their personal excellence,” says Patrick. “The Gold Standard selling out again shows me that our culture knows quality. And PAWTech Innovations is how I make sure people can experience that quality anytime.”

Black Author Releases New Book About Dismantling White Supremacy During the Post-Civil War Reconstruction Era

J. Darnell Johnson, the 2025 Black Authors Matter Award winner in the Young Adult category, has released a new book titled Dark Country, a powerful story about dismantling white supremacy during the Post–Civil War Reconstruction Era.

In the story, Blaze Vaughn and his partner, Shaman Stroud, are Super-Secret Service agents of the U.S. government. Led by the renowned and concealed abolitionist Frederick Douglass, they traverse the tumultuous South aboard their private train, Destiny, as the Liberators.
