Lametra’s journey is one of resilience and transformation. From being a teenage mother working multiple jobs, including childcare and housekeeping, to serving in the U.S. Army as a Sergeant, her story embodies the power of reinvention. After transitioning into leadership training and executive coaching, Lametra recognized that traditional career coaching models didn’t address Black professionals’ unique struggles in the workplace—so she created her own.

Meet Kena Monique and her husband, Sir-Michael Tiggs, the founders of KME Elite Transportation Services (KMEETS), the fastest-growing Black-owned luxury transportation and chauffeur service in the Greater Los Angeles area. What started in 2017 as a vision for mobile luxury dressing lounges for independent filmmakers has since spawned a premier Black Car service, meeting the exploding demand for affordable, high-quality transportation.
Kena and Sir-Michael were college sweethearts and have been married for more than 25 years. And now, they are successfully running what is probably the fastest Black-owned, Southern California-based company in their industry. Their fleet includes luxury sedans, SUVS, limousines, and party buses.

Dr. Tara S. Merchant, a distinguished journalist, interviewer, and founder of Yada TV Network, Inc., continues to make waves in the media industry.
Recently, she had the honor of judging a prestigious competition, where, unbeknownst to her, the judges were also evaluated on their knowledge, performance, demeanor, and professionalism.
Adding to the surprise, Dr. Merchant was sworn in as a Per Diem Justice by the Chief Justice, as shown in the photo below, along with 11 other judges.
