MEET LAVETTE MINN THE ENTREPRENEUR RE-BRANDING BLACK WOMEN FOUNDERS, HELPING THEM INCREASE REVENUE FROM THEIR SIDE HUSTLES

Brand strategist, author, and speaker, Lavette Minn, has transitioned her business, The Family Brand Movement LLC, into a brand development agency to help Black women in business increase their sales and leads through building their brand with Attraction Marketing and Universal Laws.

Nationwide -- Lavette Minn is known as a "The Family Brand Educator," with years of experience in helping many people and businesses reach their full potentials by harnessing universal laws. In line with her goal of sharing her wealth of knowledge and experience with as many people as possible, Lavette Minn recently transitioned her company, The Family Brand Movement, LLC into a Brand Development Agency to teach the art of building a brand with Attraction Marketing.

Her objective with the agency is to achieve increased sales by leveraging the power of attraction marketing and the concept of universal laws.  The journey to self-discovery seems to have become longer than it used to before now.

This can be largely attributed to the increasing number of factors that easily influence people’s thoughts and actions. Consequently, people tend to find it challenging to break out of the shell and express themselves as they want.

In fact, she was able to purchase three homes and three vehicles since the pandemic hit. Did The US Navy Cheat Black-Owned Business Owner Victor Ogunniyi Out Of An $100 Million Dollar Contract?
Victor Ogunniyi (Right) is in a legal dispute with the US Navy

Nationwide -- CommsolGlobal, a Black-owned business founded by Victor Ogunniyi, successfully bid on a five-year small business set aside contract with the US Navy for engine maintenance of their ships. The contract was awarded in 2012 and the entire operation was moved from Louisiana to San Diego in order to dedicate all resources solely to the US Navy, as stipulated by the contract.

Unfortunately, the large corporations who were performing the work up until the award refused to relinquish this work and have been successful in lobbying the government against the small businesses. This is not an isolated issue but something that has become the systematic bane of our procurement system, it is crippling for small businesses and entrepreneurs working to achieve the American Dream.

Background

Victor was born in Nigeria. He holds a Master's Degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA. Victor worked for Shell Nigeria and served in different capacities and assignments both in and outside Nigeria i.e. - United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and the Gulf of Mexico in Louisiana. Victor is a council member of Registered Engineers of Nigeria (COREN), Nigerian Society of Engineers (MNSE), and an associate member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (AMASCE).

BLACK AD EXEC LOOKING TO CREATE ONE MILLION BLACK MILLIONAIRES

Nationwide  Black professionals make up 10% of college graduates, but less than 1 percent of Fortune 500 CEOs and only 3 percent of executive/senior manager-level roles according to a study by the Center for Talent Innovation. The result of these struggles has led to thirty-eight percent of black millennials saying they are considering leaving their jobs to start their own company and Brian Lee is creating a platform to empower black professionals to become millionaires through education and professional development.

A key part of Brian’s plan includes partnering with corporate America to make good on their diversity statements. Lee says, "There has been a lot of talk from corporate America about standing with the black community, but now it is time for action. Black professionals would like to see investment directly into black talent and black suppliers. They also want professional development and to see diverse people in company board seats and in the C-Suite."
