Definitions define the usage of words. Words define language usage for understanding. As the famed ancestor and street poet/griot Dolemite once said, “If it’s understood, no need to explain.” But most of us are still trying to understand the Rittenhouse verdict. Therefore, it becomes imperative we take a deeper dive for deeper understanding.
When Carl Linnaeus defined the racial human hierarchy in 1735, it appeared as if the famed taxonomist combed through a box of crayons to assign color coded characteristics to the four racial groups of humans which were overshadowed by his ethnocentricity.
At the top of the heap was Anglo Saxon Protestant who was vigorous; muscular; flowing with blond hair; piercing blue eyes; very smart; inventive; covered by tight clothing and ruled by law.
