Meet Kappa brothers David Campbell and Kevin Hood, the creators of Super Nupe, the first officially licensed collectible figure representing the ultimate Kappa Man.
Since its launch in 2024, Super Nupe has captured the hearts of Kappa Alpha Psi members and Black Greek enthusiasts nationwide. The collectible embodies the fraternity’s achievement, pride, and brotherhood, making it the perfect holiday gift and an ideal way to honor the upcoming Founders Day milestone.
Campbell (Sigma Chapter ’85) and Hood (Sigma Chapter ’87) both initiated at the University of Michigan, the Sigma Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc, transformed decades of friendship and shared fraternity experiences into a stunning collectible that captures the essence of Nupe excellence. Super Nupe stands as a powerful symbol of the fraternity’s motto, “Achievement in Every Field of Human Endeavor,” now immortalized as a collectible.
New Self-Help Book “Blame It on the Feel of Pain” About Detangling From Past Pain
Get ready for a transformational journey toward inner peace as indie author Max W. Miller’s new self-help release, Blame It On The Feel Of Pain, inspires readers in a witty, down-to-earth book. Truth and compassion are foretold, using poetic frames called ‘The Wises,’ and the help of opinionated little emojis bringing laughter and thought-provoking conclusions throughout.
The author encourages her readers, whom she also calls partners, to stop wrestling with the hard knocks of the past. She expresses how voluntarily walking back into time precedes trauma healing. Confronting lingering pains is a step toward strength and hope for the future. ‘Blame It’ delves into the author’s life experiences, bringing to life the importance of using Full Circle Moments to find resolutions.
Throughout Blame It On The Feel Of Pain, the reader grows to understand through a unique interpretation that what we are destined to become grows out of the years we’ve already traveled. Further, our future hinges on how we address the pains of the past. Other expressions focus on how desires in the present are carved out of having a clear vision that old, lingering strongholds must be defeated. A history of suffering is a prerequisite for becoming fed up enough to demand enjoyment now!

“Super Nupe represents every brother who has worn crimson and cream with pride,” said Hood, Super Nupe co-creator. “Dave and I have been friends for decades, brothers in the truest sense. This project allowed us to honor our fraternity’s legacy while creating something that Nupes everywhere can display with pride.”
“We saw an opportunity to change the game on how we recognize and celebrate Black Excellence,” said Campbell, Super Nupe co-creator. “The creative vision was always bigger than just one figure. The Divine Nine is just the beginning of how we’re elevating our cultural legacy through artistry and innovation.”
Meticulously detailed in the iconic crimson and cream colors of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., the figure proudly displays a cream Diamond K emblem on his chest and comes equipped with a poseable legendary candy-striped Kappa Kane—symbols instantly recognizable to members of the Divine Nine and the broader Black Greek community. Standing on a detachable “plot” base measuring 4.75 inches x 4.5 inches, Super Nupe can be displayed in any place of honor.
In 2026, Hood and Campbell will bring Super Nupe directly to the Kappa Alpha Psi brothers by targeting the fraternity’s Province Councils. Northeastern (Philadelphia) and Northern (Lansing, Michigan) have been prioritized. Additional cities and dates will be announced soon.
Through their company, Lore Collectibles, Hood and Campbell are dedicated to creating innovative artistry rooted in history. Delta Diva, celebrating Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., is scheduled for release in late spring/early summer 2026 and continues its mission to honor Divine Nine excellence through collectibles.
