Eunice Dwumfour, a New Jersey Councilwomen, in the Sayreville, section of Central New Jersey, and Pastor in a Newark, NJ, Church was brutality shot and killed in her car near her home.  The 30-year old according to various newspaper sources was shot reportedly between 6 to 14 times.  Her car then rolled down the street until it was stopped by crashing into other parked vehicles.

"Dwumfour, 30, was found at around 7:20 p.m. last Wednesday, shot multiple times in her vehicle outside her home on Samuel Circle at the Camelot at La Mer townhouse complex in Sayreville. She was pronounced dead at the scene, the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office said," according to NJ 101.5.

New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy stated "he's spoken with investigators and so far the evidence suggests the shooting was "very specific" and not accidental."  He also has been quoted as saying "her killing doesn't seem politically motivated."  Councilwoman Dwumfour is survived by an 11-year old daughter, and was married a few months ago to another Pastor living in Nigeria - Eze Kings.

What is disturbing about Councilwoman Dwumfour's murder is there haven't been any arrests in the case despite it happening over a week ago.  It has been reported that the FBI was also called into the investigation with obviously a vicious and calculating killer on the loose.

Nevertheless, there have been no arrests made yet and this is disconcerting to some Sayreville residents who "don't feel safe for themselves or their children."  While the major media has described the Sayreville community as "quiet," people we know have experienced racial uneasiness in the community before this incident.

More about Councilwoman Pastor Eunice Dwumfour
According to NJ.com "Dwumfour, a Republican, started her first three-year term on the borough council in 2022 and also served on Sayreville’s human relations commission.

She had a young daughter and recently announced she had gotten married, neighbors and local officials said. She was also active in her church, Champions Royal Assembly in Newark, and worked as a business analyst and part-time emergency medical technician.

Dwumfour is a 2010 graduate of Weequahic High School in Newark."

There was a Memorial Service for Councilwoman Dwumfour, Wednesday, February 8, at 6 p.m. at Epic Church in Sayreville.  Governor Phil Murphy, had flags in New Jersey fly at half-staff in Councilwoman Dwumfour's honor.

We at the Black News Scoop, are not happy with the pace of the investigation.  With Pastor Dwumfour's vicious murderer on the loose obviously other people and residents could be at risk for similar violence.  Councilwoman Pastor Dwumfour, is survived by her 11-year old daughter so please consider donating to her Go Fund Me page.
