Vote for Alika Hope,The 1st Black Ms New England And Raise Money For Charity!
Alika Hope, the first African-American to be crowned “Ms. New England”, has been diligently serving the community in 2019. She is a finalist for the “Ms. America” pageant being held in California on August 24th. She is aiming to win the “People’s Choice” Award at the Ms. America Pageant. This is an award given to the contestant who has the most votes from the general public. Each vote is $1, and people can vote as many times as they’d like.
If Ms. Hope wins, she will donate her proceeds (50% of all monies raised from voting) to 3 New England based non-profits that she’s worked with extensively:
1. The Legacy Foundation, an organization in Hartford, CT that provides after-school support, college prep and mentorship. (www.legacyfoundationhartford.org)
2. Zumix, an organization in Boston, MA that provides access to top-quality arts experiences for a low-income, under-served neighborhood.(www.zumix.org)
3. The Endowment for Human Development, based in Concord, NH, dedicated to educating women and their families about prenatal development and healthy choices. (www.ehd.org)
Ms. Hope’s goal is to get 30,000 votes. That translates to $15,000, and she will be able to give each of these organizations a $5,000 donation.
