Sovereign Markets and BlaQue Resource Network hosted an unforgettable Juneteenth celebration. On June 19, over 1,000 attendees gathered at the Laurelton Station LIRR, to honor Black freedom and excellence. 

The family-friendly event featured a variety of Black-owned food vendors, live music, and inspiring spoken word performances. A complimentary beer and wine garden allowed guests to relax and connect, creating an atmosphere of joy and community.

Juneteenth is a time for us to come together to reflect on how far we’ve come as a people and rejoice in Black freedom and joy,” said Aleeia Abraham, co-founder of BlaQue Resource Network. “Partnering with The Sovereign Markets allowed us to create an experience for Black people in Queens to fellowship, support Black businesses, and celebrate what Juneteenth truly means. "
