Black Founder Launches New Skincare Brand That Celebrates Haitian Heritage, Resilience, and Radiance

Entrepreneur and women’s empowerment advocate Marsha Guerrier, founder of the renowned HerSuiteSpot, is expanding her mission to uplift and inspire women by launching YvaMarie New York, a premium Black-owned skincare brand rooted in her Haitian heritage and guided by modern science.

After years of mentoring and supporting female entrepreneurs through HerSuiteSpot, Guerrier is taking on a new journey—addressing the unique skin concerns women face through every stage of life. The inspiration behind YvaMarie New York comes from personal experience: as a busy entrepreneur, wife, and mother navigating hormonal changes and environmental stressors, Guerrier struggled with skin concerns such as hyperpigmentation, fine lines, and dullness.

Drawing on the enduring wisdom of her grandmother Yva and mother Marie, both of whom believed in the healing power of nature, she crafted a skincare line that honors both tradition and progress.

YvaMarie New York blends nutrient-rich botanicals — like Gotu Kola, Goji Berry, Green Tea, and Bakuchiol — with science-backed ingredients to create clean, effective skincare solutions. The brand's debut includes the BotanicGlow Complexion Serum, designed to brighten and even out skin tone, and the GothamGlow Anti-Aging Serum, which firms and smooths while supporting long-term skin renewal.

"I’ve always believed that beauty is more than skin deep—it’s about honoring self-care, resilience, and the unique journeys we all take," says Guerrier. "YvaMarie New York is my way of giving women a chance to reconnect with their glow at every phase of life."

In addition to her commitment to skincare, Guerrier continues to empower women entrepreneurs by dedicating 10% of YvaMarie New York’s profits to the Yva Jourdan Foundation in support of the HerRise MicroGrant Program, an initiative designed to provide critical funding for women-led businesses in underserved communities.

YvaMarie New York has officially launched its e-commerce site, marking the debut of its products on March 1, 2025, in honor of Women's History Month. Celebrating the strength, resilience, and beauty of women everywhere, this launch marks a new chapter in empowering women to embrace their glow through heritage-inspired, science-backed skincare. Customers can shop online at YvaMarie.com and learn more about the brand’s journey and formulations.
