BLACK WOMAN CEO OF ONLINE K-12 VIRTUAL SCHOOL HELPING OTHER EDUCATORS START THEIR OWN ONLINE SCHOOLS

Dana Delane-Williams, founder and CEO of American High School, is committed to assisting other Black educators in establishing their own online/virtual schools. She recently made history as the first Black woman in the country to create an online virtual school for grades K-12. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems from Georgia State University and a master’s degree in Business Administration in Aviation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.

American High School (AHS) is an online distance learning school known for its affordability and accredited college-preparatory education for Grades K-12. AHS offers over 350 online courses including general, honors/AP, gifted, and career & technical (CTE). The CTE courses lead to industry certifications. AHS is an approved NCAA provider for students seeking to play sports in college on scholarships.

“In 2018, we launched the adult high school diploma program for students over the age of 20,” says Dana who has revolutionized online education in the US since 2002. “The global health scare has changed life across many spheres and has affected education processes too. We want to help black educators planning to open schools within their communities by providing them the support they need to achieve their goals.”

Ultimately, Dana wants to empower blacks and other minorities to achieve success in the educational sector as well as to empower today’s youth by providing them with high-quality online education and industry certifications. “Our black and minority kids value learning and education and with online education becoming more acceptable, we can bring technology and 21st-century leaning skills to those who may not have had access in the past.

Article On Dana Delane-Williams and American High School Continues Below...

We still have challenges, but online education is rapidly becoming our “new normal.” As a single mom, entrepreneur, and business owner, my purpose is being fulfilled by providing students the minimal life credential, their high school diploma. It never gets old viewing the virtual graduations and seeing the students with their cap and gown on, holding their diploma. I’ve worked diligently over the past 19 years to ensure a high-quality education was received by all AHS students, but most specifically, our black/minority youths who enroll and ultimately graduate. We’ve done our job!”

American High School is a distinguished, Black-owned online school operating in the U.S. and in over 27 countries worldwide. Virtual education/distance learning is not going away and educators, organizations, and schools will be forced to add an online component to their traditional offerings in order to stay competitive.

“I want to be able to give back to women of color and minorities, so as I strive for success, I want to lift minorities (my brothers and sisters) up. I can dramatically reduce the learning curve and requirements to operate or add an online accredited school for grades K-12 and adult learners, or any other business that requires training and education.

Our proprietary learning management system can be utilized for all types of businesses. We can create a curriculum with courses that you can begin to offer online seamlessly. I want everyone to know that it’s hard work, but not impossible. You have to endure, push through and never give up on your dreams.” With her vast experience in setting up online educational systems, Delane-Williams is dedicated to helping any black/minority educators interested in opening their own online school for their community center, organization, private school, and/or charter school or rural school; all for a fraction of the cost of other companies.

She has extensive educational experience and makes use of today’s advanced technology-based teaching methods to provide quality schooling programs to thousands of students over the U.S. and internationally; using her proprietary online Learning Management System. She has also played a pivotal role in contributing to the many vast historical achievements of an array of black women in the field of education.

Moreover, AHS offers in demand online CTE courses where students can define their future, ignite their learning, and stay engaged to prepare for industry certification with courses such as: animation, cybersecurity, 3D modeling, drone piloting, culinary arts, forensics, criminal justice, culinary arts, childhood education, sports and entertainment marketing, healthcare and nursing, EKG tech, cosmetology, engineering, game design, digital media, and many more. American High School is the most engaging, immersive and interactive online school for Grades K – 12 and adult learners available. All eBooks and materials (videos, audio, PowerPoint presentations, Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) are included in the curriculum.
