INDIE R&B ARTIST NWCLR RELEASES NEW SONG "CHANGE"

Tampa, FL  R&B phenom and chart topper, NWCLR, has dropped a surprise gem called "Change". This smooth tune full of layered instruments and melodies calls for systematic change regarding the continuous fight for Black people in the United States.

Its strategic drop happened 30 days before the Presidential Election and 2 days before the last day to register to vote. It is a direct call out to police brutality and all that is unfair and unequal in our country. With odes to Sam Cooke and a nostalgic draw to Marvin Gaye's "What's Going On?", this song pulls at your heart strings. It brings music lovers of all creeds and backgrounds together to examine the much needed change that needs to take place in this country for everyone to positively co-exist and live the true American dream.

Khefa Nosakhere has released his first non-fiction work entitled "Institutional Racism and the Search for African American Masculinity and Identity in Selected Works of Richard Wright." NWCLR comments, "I know my parents haven't felt the change we need. My retired brother and sister haven't seen it. I'm standing here, a middle-aged Black man, and I just see what they say are the days of old reliving itself here in 2020. I want to at least have a voice in the conversation to possibly get change for my daughter or granddaughters because this has been going on for far too long."

As a seasoned vet in the music industry, NWCLR understands that good music will perk up the ears of anyone in earshot; even when they are disillusioned by the news or state of the country. The Connecticut born artist, formerly known as Smoove, is used to captivating the ears and attention of listeners with his music. He was signed to EastWest Atlantic Records in 1993 with hits such as "Meanwhile Back at the Ranch" which topped 39 on the Billboard 100 and the second single "All About Her" which peaked at 29 as well on the Billboard 100. Although he took a break from music to raise his daughter, his love for making music never died. Later, he transitioned into caregiving for his mother and late father.

But now, NWCLR is stepping back onto the scene with a new wave of meaningful, melodic and breath-taking music that will take you on a scenic ride that you won't want to end.
