The second weekend of Mardi Gras! Galveston festivities continued in full swing on Saturday, with the charismatic R&B sensation Tanya Nolan, a native of Galveston, commanding attention as she graced the Rosaire Mardi Gras Parade with her presence.
As the annual Krewe d’Esprit Rosaire Parade, hosted by Galveston’s only Black Catholic Krewe, wound its way through the streets in the morning hours, Tanya Nolan, along with other float-riders, delighted revelers by tossing beads and spreading joy.
Tanya Nolan shared, "Being a native of Galveston, participating in the 2024 Mardi Gras this past weekend was an exhilarating experience like no other. It was a vibrant celebration of our rich culture, filled with music, colors, and the warmth of our community. I'm honored to have been part of such a cherished tradition, spreading joy and unity with every step of the parade. Mardi Gras isn't just an event; it's a reflection of our spirit and resilience as Galvestonians, and I'm grateful to have played a role in keeping that spirit alive."
