I don't think visionary progressive Blacks are showing enough tangible alternatives in the fight for equality and liberation. I read a lot of Blacks now critiquing capitalism as much as racism - but how many are offering options or showing the way towards concrete solutions?
For instance if a person feels Black people are being marginalized by white supremacist driven capitalism what are we doing besides critiquing others to offset it? Are we working with Black farmers to supply food to urban food deserts and defund corporate supermarkets?
Are we building community owned credit unions to hold, invest, and loan our money to each other to fight gentrification and predatory loans?

Instead of having our money in corporate owned banks? Are we using the JOBS Act to collectively own real estate together with crowd funding?
Are we starting community owed supermarkets like some people are doing in Brooklyn, NY. Are we pooling our money to buy essential businesses in our community? Are we supporting Black businesses and Black media?
How many of us are spending any time on independently owned Black social media platforms? Are we looking to elect politicians that will fight to get us government contracts to build more viable businesses from the taxes we are forced to pay and then invest in African and the Caribbean? I mean I'm just asking.
Sure there's a lot of Blacks doing what I'm suggesting. However, there's an awful lot of critiquing and not enough solutions being - shown to our people. This is one of the reasons we have this platform.
There are diverse groups of Blacks working on progressive solutions but we need more media like this one to inform them so they can seek and support these equality and liberation platforms and operations. Of course we have many people working hard for solutions however we need independent Black media to help us connect the dots and support progressive options and Black economics.
