Nationwide -- It's no secret that the consumers' electronics market is an extremely competitive space. For the last decade, there have been many key players with only two who take up 56% of the market alone. With very little diversity in the electronics field, this founder took advantage of that void.
Chaymeriyia Moncrief, the founder of NSPRE™, a consumer electronics brand based in Montgomery, AL launched her company in early 2020. She launched with the need to give consumers an assorted option for electronic selections.
No stranger to under-diversified markets, before launching her electronics company, she also found the first and only African American and woman-led telecommunication wireless carrier, Tesix Wireless, which this year was valued at $10M. She credits her decade long passion for technology for her fearless entry into the two laborious spaces.

She comments, "Since 7-years old, I've been fascinated with tech and gadgets. I use to take things apart at home-- everything from remote controls, the radio, and even the home computer. When I successfully put them back together, and it actually worked again, I fell in love with the simple and complex process every time. I loved that it challenged me, especially when I knew I'd be in trouble if it didn't work."
Launching an electronics company amid a pandemic may not seem like a good idea to some, but Chaymeriyia took on the challenge head-on. Already leading her telecommunication startup, adding one additional job wouldn't hurt.
To start things at ease, the founder was able to raise $1.05M from private and angel investors -- she also raised funding from her previous investors in her first startup.
"The focus with our funding is Talent and Retail acquisitions, R&D, and Product Design. We have also moved forward with the opening of our headquarters and in this transition, we need to begin building our team and setting the foundation for our brand's culture. Over the next year growing our customer base, building credibility, and developing partnerships will play key roles in NSPRE's growth," she continues.
With now 5 products under the brand, Chaymeriyia expresses the company will be expanding through other areas such as Security, Home Electronics, and IoT.
