Meet the Black Hair Stylist From Memphis Whose Hair Care Line is Changing Lives

Angela H. Brown, a trailblazing African American hair salon professional with more than 38 years of experience, is the visionary Founder and CEO of D’Serv Professional Hair Care Products. This Black-owned hair care brand is dedicated to addressing alopecia, stress-related hair loss, damage caused by protective styles, and other natural hair challenges. Through innovative formulations that provide hydration and protein, Angela is transforming how women restore and maintain healthy hair.

After years of research, Angela identified the underlying reasons behind widespread hair loss and performance issues in hairstyles. In 2016, her breakthrough led to the creation of her signature line of products. What began as a mission to assist salon professionals has since expanded into a movement empowering everyday women to reclaim their confidence through healthy hair.

Angela, a Memphis native, overcame initial challenges in reaching salon professionals by reevaluating her approach. By educating herself on the needs of stylists and clients, she forged meaningful connections and began building trust. Through social media and her e-commerce store, Angela became a trusted advisor for women navigating their hair care journeys. Now affectionately known as "The Hair Coach," she provides personalized advice, encouragement, and her signature D’Serv PACC Hair Loss Solution, focusing on Performance, Application, Coaching, and Consistency.

D’Serv’s product line, which began with just four offerings, now boasts over 15 items, with two new hair loss and restoration products set to launch in mid-2025. Featuring nine powerful herbs, these products deliver visible results in under 45 minutes, whether in the shower or shampoo bowl. Currently, D’Serv products are available for retail and salon professionals, with samples shipped across the U.S. and Canada. The brand is proudly stocked in Beauty Outlet Stores and retail locations in Tennessee, Arkansas, Nashville, Chicago, and North Carolina.

Angela’s journey hasn’t been without challenges, but her perseverance and faith have fueled her success. “It’s my God-given purpose to help those who truly care about rekindling their hair’s potential,” she shares. “I’ve seen confidence restored in both women and men, and it drives me to keep going.”

Today, Angela is more than a hair stylist—she’s a product developer, salon owner, and the self-published author of three books. With a renewed focus on performance-driven products for the younger generation, Angela is leading the charge in healthy hair care solutions. Her unwavering commitment to restoring hair and confidence has solidified D’Serv as a trusted name in the industry.
