BLACK HARVARD MBA AND SERIAL ENTREPRENEUR PENS NEW BOOK TO HONOR THE ENTREPRENEURS OF GREENWOOD

Amy S. Hilliard is a graduate of Howard University, a Harvard MBA, a successful senior corporate executive, and serial entrepreneur whose journey has been different from what you might expect. People look at Amy and think she's had it made. In her career, Amy made it to senior levels of corporate America, started three businesses, has been profiled by national media, honored by the U.S. Department of Commerce for Entrepreneurship - and has been bankrupted, foreclosed on, laid off, and divorced twice. She is here to tell people her truth.

In her new book, "Pivot For Success - Hone Your Vision, Shift Your Energy, Make Your Move," from Wiley now available for presale on Amazon, and releasing June 22, she shares that even when you think you’ve lost it all, you can actually win everything. Amy shares 10 pivot points and lessons learned from a life of dreams realized, and dreams deferred - of how to keep it moving through the landscapes of success, failure, triumph, and tragedy. Most of all, she shares how she learned to pivot and how you can strategically learn to pivot too.

SURVIVING CHAOS

AUTHOR TELLS HIS STORY ABOUT GROWING IN EXTREME POVERTY WITH A SCHIZOPHRENIC MOM

Harold Phifer has announced the publication of his second book, a collection of autobiographical short stories exploring his sad and often appalling upbringing in Columbus, Mississippi.  Kept secret for more than 50 years, Phifer’s childhood was largely forgotten until an explosion during a job in Afghanistan forced him to take some time off to recover in a paradise beach resort in Thailand.

While there, he met an unusual but compassionate stranger who pulled him into a long discussion about his experiences growing up. Hours later, Phifer finally found a measure of peace from the ghosts of his past and began planning out the stories that would later appear in Surviving Chaos. The book is available for purchase via AmazonBarnes & Noble, and Audible.  For More Info Click Here

Amy says, “In today’s times if you aren’t willing to change, you will be left behind. One thing we all know for sure is that Life. Will. Change. Don’t be afraid to Reinvent yourself and build the Resilience it takes to do it. In doing so, you may find Resurrection as you grow. Listen—Jesus isn’t the only one who has risen from the dead! Dreams, plans, businesses, and more can come alive again if you learn how to pivot.”

With support from First Lady Michelle Obama, and endorsements from Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook, Dr. Wayne Frederick, President of Howard University, Phylicia Rashad, Debbie Allen, Susan Taylor, Editor-in-Chief Emerita of Essence Magazine, Louis Carr, President of BET Network Sales and more, Pivot for Success makes a great graduation gift and is an inspiring read for anyone ready for reinvention as we continue moving through these challenging times.
