“Wearing facemasks could actually increase a person's risk of contracting COVID-19, ‘the Novel Coronavirus Disease that causes respiratory illness in humans.’ You can increase your risk of getting it by wearing a mask if you are not a health care provider.  Folks who don't know how to wear them properly tend to touch their faces a lot and actually can increase the spread of coronavirus,"  says Dr. Jerome M. Therefore, each of us must continually use precautionary measures and due diligence throughout our daily lives to improve optimal wellbeing and public health.

Singleton, HBCU All Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) scholar-athlete in football: Elizabeth City State University (ECSU) Sports Hall of Fame (football and track), Elizabeth City, NC.  Dr. Singleton's professional and semi- professional football affiliations were the1968 Westchester Bulls of the Atlantic Coast Football League (ACFL- New York Giants NFL).  He played semi-professionally with Brooklyn, New York's Golden Knights (1968;1971), and attended successful tryouts in Atlanta, GA with the upstarting Birmingham Americans of the World Football League (WFL: 1973).
