COVID-19 ALERT of The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs

Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) ALERT of The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs 2020 Overton Brooks VA Medical Center: Stay Informed About The Coronavirus
Face Masks?
U.S. 20th Surgeon General Dr. Jerome M. Adams
“Wearing facemasks could actually increase a person's risk of contracting COVID-19, ‘the Novel Coronavirus Disease that causes respiratory illness in humans.’ You can increase your risk of getting it by wearing a mask if you are not a health care provider. Folks who don't know how to wear them properly tend to touch their faces a lot and actually can increase the spread of coronavirus," says Dr. Jerome M. Adams, U.S. Surgeon General. “Surgical facemasks help keep infected people from spreading the coronavirus, but they don’t do a whole lot in terms of keeping healthy people from getting the virus.” --- Jennifer Vines, Multnomah County’s health officer, Multnomah County Oregon.
Novel Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) ALERT of The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs 2020
“Each One Teach One,” Highly Decorated U. S. Army Veteran, HBCU-ECSU Wellness Educator, Dr. Charles L. Singleton, Clinical Research Volunteer of the Year, the ATLANTA VA HEALTH CARE SYSTEM (AVAHCS) reminds us, in this most problematic time of "severe viral uncertainty," that "each person teaches another to learn about staying well at living, during all stages of life." Therefore, each of us must continually use precautionary measures and due diligence throughout our daily lives to improve optimal wellbeing and public health.
Singleton is sincerely hoping that everyone will seriously understand and precautionarily consider the COVID-19 ALERT of The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs 02/25/2020. Simply because, the possibility of a “severe medical Infectious disease spread” could put many people at risk for becoming infected from this sickness.

High Alert! Let us learn from Dr. Charles “C” Everett Koop (1916-2013), the 13th Surgeon General of the United States (1982-1989), who became a household name and a teacher of health lessons. His timely instructions successfully educated us by effectively using mass media, correspondence, documentaries, manuscripts, and interviews.
Such topics included the deadly effects of tobacco use, Reye's Syndrome, and the AIDS epidemic. Dr. C. Everett Koop’s persistent presence, informative and instructive manner, helped all of us. Now, in this coronavirus emergency, U. S. Surgeon General Dr. Jerome M. Adams and medical infectious disease experts (researchers, scientists, specialists, health care professionals, communicators, and educators), we are depending on you to see us through this life-threatening dilemma, and our global fears caused by the symptomatic coronavirus.
