Doctors Amazed with Staggering Number OF Stents In This Inspiring Author And Thought Leader
(Nationwide) October 8, 2019 – Doctors are amazed with the number of stents in the body of author/blogger Cynthia Lombard – an astounding 30. Although there is not a limit on the total number of stents that should be implanted in the body, the number installed in Cynthia is staggering.
In 2003, she suffered a life changing heart attack. And, at the age of 41, she learned of an illness she was born with known as SCAD – Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection, an uncommon emergency condition that occurs when a tear forms in one of the blood vessels in the heart. The rare condition can cause a heart attack.
It is her journey with SCAD that inspired her second book, ‘The Heart Chronicles.’ She is the founder of “She is Still Standing,” a Women’s Empowerment movement that provide a platform for women to tell their stories of overcoming obstacles.

“When you look back on your life, it’s the struggles that have made you who you are today,” says Lombard. “I am still standing today because of the grace of God.”
“I know my purpose in life now is to inspire, empower and help others share their stories,” adds Cynthia. “When asked how it’s still possible for me to be alive with 30 stents inside of me, my response is always the same - GOD is not finished with me yet.”
What exactly is a stent? A stent is inserted into the clogged artery with a balloon catheter. The balloon is inflated, reopening the vessel, and the stent expands and locks in place.
This holds the artery open to allow blood to flow freely. “By opening up the blocked artery and restoring blood flow, the stent can stop damage to your heart muscle and reduce your chance of suffering heart failure or death,” says Cynthia.
Lombard is the author of two explosive biographical books: Revelation at Cliff House and The Heart Chronicles. Her literary work has led to many speaking engagements at workshops, universities, churches and book clubs.
