BLACK AUTHOR DEBUTS CHILDREN’S BOOK ABOUT 12-YEAR OLD WHO IMMIGRATES FROM GHANA TO THE U.S.

Sasha Goes to America, a children’s book based on Marjy Marj’s debut novel - The Shimmigrant, is the number 1 new release on Amazon under the Children’s Immigration category.

Set in Ghana and the United States, the book is about a 12-year-old housemaid who immigrated from Ghana to the United States.

Reviewed and highly rated by children, educators, publishers, attorneys, subject-matter authors, immigrants, and booksellers, Marjy’s work seeks to highlight the dangers of child labor and exploitation. She also wants to shed light on the stories of immigrants and people of color across the world.

SURVIVING CHAOS

AUTHOR TELLS HIS STORY ABOUT GROWING IN EXTREME POVERTY WITH A SCHIZOPHRENIC MOM

Harold Phifer has announced the publication of his second book, a collection of autobiographical short stories exploring his sad and often appalling upbringing in Columbus, Mississippi.  Kept secret for more than 50 years, Phifer’s childhood was largely forgotten until an explosion during a job in Afghanistan forced him to take some time off to recover in a paradise beach resort in Thailand.

While there, he met an unusual but compassionate stranger who pulled him into a long discussion about his experiences growing up. Hours later, Phifer finally found a measure of peace from the ghosts of his past and began planning out the stories that would later appear in Surviving Chaos. The book is available for purchase via AmazonBarnes & Noble, and Audible.  For More Info Click Here
