PEDIATRICIAN OPENS FIRST BLACK-OWNED CLINIC OFFERING NO WAIT EVALUATIONS FOR AUTISM, ADHD

 Dr. Hokehe Eko, a Board-Certified Pediatrician, Integrative Medicine specialist, and mother of 3, is also the Founder and CEO of Glow Pediatrics, the first Black-owned virtual autism clinic for kids in the United States. Autism consultations are available today to families in Georgia, Oklahoma, and Maryland with plans to expand nationwide later this year. In addition, the clinic offers no-wait autism and ADHD evaluations for thousands of families.

On average, Glow Physicians see patients in less than 1 week, compared to the national average wait time of 27 months, and provide high-quality care to children virtually.

 Dr. Sarah Washington O’Neal Rush, great-granddaughter of Booker T. Washington, releases her fourth book, Blueprint to Excellence: Being, Growing, Leading, Soaring (BTE), available now on Amazon.

BTE is a workbook created to enhance the future of individuals, groups, and especially rising and aspiring leaders. The workbook is made up of 16 success principles grounded in her professional training in education, leadership, mental health, and her great-grandfather’s teachings on rising above adversity.

PUBLISHER OF ETHIOPIAN CHILDREN’S BOOKS COLLABORATES WITH IBBY ETHIOPIA FOR EXCITING NEW INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENTS

Ethiopia) and Open Hearts Big Dreams (OHBD) are proud to announce two developments as part of their ongoing collaboration to bring books and children together in Ethiopia and around the globe.

Ethiopia is Africa’s second-most populous country, but tens of millions of people there are without literacy skills, and there is a lack of sufficient quality, culturally relevant children’s books in the local languages.

In one key development, IBBY Ethiopia was featured for the first time at this year’s Bologna Children’s Book Fair (BCBF), from April 8-11. BCBF is an industry-leading event that brings together a global audience. BCBF is continuing their focus on emerging publishing markets by bringing back the Spotlight on Africa Pavilion in 2024. IBBY Ethiopia will be included as part of this dedicated exhibition area that will feature thirty African publishers from all over the continent. These publishers will also take part in networking opportunities and seminars led by international publishing professionals.

BLACK MOM & DAUGHTER- OWNED SNEAKER COMPANY MAKES HISTORY, SIGNS 7 WORLD FOOTBALL CHAMPS

Meet Cynthia Cureton-Robles and her daughter Santia Deck, the owners of TRONUS, the first ever Black woman-owned sneaker brand to be launched by a female athlete. The brand continues to break glass ceilings after its latest announcement that it has expanded its footwear product line to include sports-focused Active Recovery Slides.

After years of passionately researching, planning, and developing the ultimate recovery slides, TRONUS has won the endorsement of Global Flag Football Greats, Top Coaches, and the sports medicine world. TRONUS makes history as the first female-owned sneaker company to sponsor global flag football champions.

Coming from a family of athletes and watching athletes’ careers cut short due to injury, many times due to overuse and simply lack of recovery, TRONUS founders pledged to combat this plaguing issue head-on.
