Nationwide Albert Phillips Jr., an author, educator and youth advocate based in Baltimore, is launching his first book Y'all Hiring?: The Black Teen's Guide to Navigating Employment. This book is a step by step guide that not only gives young Black teens the confidence they need to succeed in a job, but it teaches them how to thrive within a society that doesn't always show them their lives matter.

Author Albert Phillips Jr. lives in Baltimore, where he is a Work-Based Learning Specialist with Baltimore City Public Schools. He has a M.S. in Education from Johns Hopkins University and a B.S. in Print Journalism from Morgan State University. As someone who was raised in Baltimore and attended public schools, he knows firsthand what it means to be given the short end of the stick.
Therefore, he's made it his life's mission to help Black teens gain access to opportunities and resources that are usually out of reach. Through publishing Y'all Hiring?, he hopes to change that.
