5 Young DC Area Black Entrepreneurs to Host Powerhouse Networking Mixer at National Harbor

Five young and up-and-coming African American entrepreneurs from the Washington, DC area will host a groundbreaking event called the Gen Z Network Mixer on Saturday, June 7th. They are 18-year-old Inia Brown, 19-year-old Heaven Jones, 19-year-old Aniya Belk, 19-year-old Lyric Johnson, and 22-year-old Chase Sellars. All of them are real estate professionals and business strategists.

They describe their event as being designed by Gen Z, for Gen Z. Set at the scenic and stylish National Harbor, this mixer will connect some of the area’s most creative and ambitious young adults for a high-energy night of collaboration, networking, and empowerment.

Meet the Black Woman Who Has Helped 1,000’s of People in Black Communities to Heal, Rest, and Reclaim Joy

As Mental Health Awareness Month shines a light on emotional well-being, one woman is transforming how communities of color understand healing — and the importance of joy.

Dr. Kristen Guillory, a former professor of counseling and social work, is more than a mental health professional. She’s known by many as “The Soul Reader” — a transformational coach, international speaker, and best-selling author whose soul-awakening work blends radical honesty with humor and storytelling. With more than two decades of experience, she’s become a powerful force in redefining mental health through a culturally grounded, holistic lens.
