The independent film showcases Detroit’s best theatrical and film production talent. Chocolate Kiss was co-written by Tonja Ayers, Richard Bass, and Mike Jeffers. The writers, armed with past successes, have come together to create a film that will resonate with its audience.

Chocolate Kiss is the third release by The Shoe Lady Productions whose first film Stay in Your Place premiered to multiple sold-out theaters as well and whose second film TEN was nominated and selected for multiple film festivals nationally and internationally. Chocolate Kiss will soon be streaming on multiple digital platforms.

The talented cast includes Kristin Clarke who landed her first role on Comedy Central’s Detroiters in 2017, followed by her role in the feature film First Lady in 2018, Deceitful Passions in 2019, and now her first leading role in Chocolate Kiss. Starring alongside is Edward Donaldson whose musical roots and education at Detroit’s own School for Performing Arts helped to root him in the field of entertainment. Mr. Donaldson is one gentle giant who is comfortable rocking a microphone to acting onstage in a theatrical performance.

Chocolate Kiss was directed by Melissa Talbot and co-directed by Mike Jeffers. For more info, please contact Tonja Ayers at (248) 973-7463 or email info@theshoelady.biz. More info available at ChocolateKissTheMovie.com.
