Caretha Chizuko 21 Under 2020: Music’s Hottest Rising Star Embraces her Multicultural Roots

Caretha Chizuko (pronounced Chi-zu-ko, her middle name) is a five-time threat as a singer, songwriter, keyboardist, producer and dancer who embraces her multicultural roots. She is a Japanese and African-American R&B/hip-hop artist with infectious beats and talent, all her own.
  
Caretha has gathered a loyal following of fans who appreciate her as a visionary and creative soul.   The Bay Area native, now residing in Los Angeles is the creator of incredible music that captures young music lovers everywhere.  She first attracted attention on YouTube with her video postings of popular cover songs.

She has been playing the piano  since the age of 3-years-old.  Caretha has always been considered an ‘old soul.'  Deeply inspired by the R&B/Soul/Hip-Hop sound of the 80’s and 90’s, the 21-year-old keyboardist adds a fresh hip-hop sound to her music that keeps you wanting more.
The professional trained musician and dancer is known to jump on an open mic at any given time or place and perform.  
“Music has always been a part of my life since I was a young girl, so I have a deep appreciation for it, especially my love of R&B, soul and hip-hop.
Caretha is a multi-talented artist using her social media platform, along with her interviews, and YouTube video postings for advocacy to create a girl empowerment movement that encourages her demographic to always strive to be your authentic self.
